Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland has been back in the public eye recently. McFarland, who was released from prison last year, let attendees down with his failed festival, but he also left local workers hanging, who didn’t get the payment they deserved for their contributions to the event. Now, though, McFarland is cooking up a plan to get them their money, and it involves getting in the boxing ring with Ja Rule.

On the April 28 episode of the Off The Record podcast, McFarland chats with host DJ Akademiks. At one point during the conversation, McFarland took a FaceTime call with an associate, who spoke about a potential boxing match between McFarland and Ja Rule. Somebody is apparently willing to pay $350,000 to make a “15-minute” fight between the two happen, which McFarland said would “get every worker in the Bahamas paid back in full,” with neither McFarland or Ja Rule receiving any payment themselves.

As for how that bout would go, McFarland said, “He’ll probably beat me, like 80-percent chance he wins, and that’s fine.”

McFarland, meanwhile, is working on launching another music festival. He explained, “It’s in the best interest of those I owe for me to be working. People aren’t getting paid back if I sit on the couch and watch tv.”

On Friday, April 28, the Los Angeles Philharmonic delivered a performance of Tchaikovsky’s fifth symphony at LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. Also at Walt Disney Concert Hall at that time, it sure sounded like a woman in the audience had what has been described as a “loud and full body orgasm.”

Molly Grant, an attendee of the performance who was seated near the person supposedly behind the moment, told The Los Angeles Times, “Everyone kind of turned to see what was happening. It was quite beautiful.”

Composer and music producer Magnus Fiennes was also in attendance and tweeted, “Went to see @LAPhil play @Thomasades and Tchaikovsky 5 last night. Journalist Jocelyn Silver also tweeted, “friends who went to the LA philharmonic last night are reporting that in the middle of the show some lady had a SCREAMING orgasm, to the point where the whole orchestra stopped playing. some people really know how to live…”

Audio supposedly of the moment in question made the rounds on line, and the LA Times reports that attendees say the clip sounds like what they heard during the show.

The publication noted they haven’t been able to identify the person who made the sound, and that LA Phil representatives have not responded to their request for comment.

Pharrell’s budding music festival Something In The Water was forced to cancel its closing day moments ago. The multi-day event returned to the producer’s hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia. However, the weather conditions over the weekend haven’t been the best. With high winds, rain storms, and even a tornado warning, organizers were forced to pull the plug on today’s (April 30) performances.

In a statement posted to the festival’s official Instagram page, they shared the news, writing, “We are disappointed to share that under the advisement of the city of Virginia Beach and the local authorities, we have to cancel day three of Something In The Water due to significant impacts to the festival site caused by severe weather, as well as the current and forecasted storms approaching and a tornado warning.”

The message continued, “We did not make this decision easily, but everyone’s safety is our top priority. We will be refunding 33% of the base price from admission passes. Refunds will be automatically processed beginning tomorrow and take approximately 14 days.”

Pharrel chimed under the post, writing, “Dearest Virginia, We are the best. These past few days have been the best. Even during this Tornado Watch and Lightning Storm right now, as I type, we are the best.”

The producer continued, “Thank you for giving the folks that travel here that energy and that LOVE that only we can give. Thank you to our partners, the vendors, production, policemen, firemen, the city council, the mayor, and all who volunteered. The spirit here was felt everywhere!”

“Next year, we will shift the dates because this rain ain’t playing, but we will be! Next year, more acts, more merch, more food… just more! Continued blessings and favor to you all,” closed the musician.

Something In The Water festival was named in honor of founder Pharrell’s coastal hometown. However, fans are wondering if it was a prophecy. Over the gloomy weekend, music’s biggest names, including Skrillex, Jazmine Sullivan, Lil Uzi Vert, and more, headed to Virginia Beach, Virginia, to bring a ray of musical sunshine. Instead, it is being reported that there was a thunderous squabble between two artists on the lineup.

Despite having quashed their shortlived feud, according to social media, Coi Leray and members from Latto’s team were reportedly involved in an altercation at the festival. In a video captured on the event’s grounds, a group of individuals is engaged in what appears to be a brawl. Although the parties’ faces have not been confirmed, and neither party has issued a statement, fans claim that it is the musicians.

On the other hand, others quickly chimed in to repost a video of Latto at a local club appearance with the caption, “Latto and Coi Leray did not fight. This was Latto performing at a club last night. Stop being delusional and believing fake rumors.”

Based on the air being cleared after Latto’s second performance at Coachella, it is hard to believe this rumor has any truth.

Diddy is a businessman through and through. Across every era of his career, the producer has birthed a memorable item, whether tangible or intellectual. A track all about their love of smooth liquor and partying, the musicians replaced the cognac brand name Courvoisier with Diddy’s vodka company Circoc. Sharing the performance clip with the caption, “Last night was magical,” fans quickly chimed in to share how clever the modification was.

The original lyrics of the chorus sung by Pharell with the beloved adlib being rapped by Busta, originally was “We gon’ tell that n***** (Pass the Courvoisier) / We gon’ tell that brotha (Pass the Courvoisier) / Everybody sing it now (Pass the Courvoisier) / Everybody sing it now (Pass the Courvoisier).”

While the updated lyric was “Pass the Ciroc this way.” The song originally featured on Busta Rhymes’ fifth studio album, Genesis, has long been used to amp up parties since its release over 20 years ago.

Coachella 2023 was one for the history books. The beloved music festival in the desert had several high points, including Blackpink and Bad Bunny’s record-setting performances. However, the fallout from Frank Ocean’s seemingly disappointing return to the event is far from over.

Although the “Novacane” singer took the stage for the first weekend, he dropped out of his headlining performance set for the second weekend, which reportedly cost the organizers millions in profits. While Ocean admitted that his solo set was “chaotic” because it had been years since he graced the stage and the live stream was pulled at the last minute, those attending the festival took out their phones to record the performance on social media.

Despite not attending Coachella, according to Variety, Los Angeles-based filmmaker Brian Kinnes was hit with a cease-and-desist by AEG, a festival partner, over unauthorized footage from Ocean’s set. “I’m just combining what’s already publicly available,” Kinnes told the outlet.

Supposedly, Kinnes sourced around 450 Ocean videos posted online over 80 hours. Then Kinnes allegedly sent the best audio clips to a sound engineer to create the final audio file.

“Essentially, [AEG’s] claims are pretty frivolous and almost completely baseless,” said Kinnes as he states, “[I] did not plan on making a single penny” from the video.

AEG disagrees. Although the performance was supposed to be streamed live on YouTube for free, it was not. If it was, the exclusive rights to the footage from Coachella belong to AEG. AEG’s notice demanded that Kinnes “remove and destroy all audio and video content of musical performances from the Festival…failure to do would lead to further legal action.” Kinnes’ footage has since been removed.

However, this isn’t the first time Kinnes has pulled videos across social media of festival footage. In 2017, he created a video of Ocean’s 2014 FYF Fest performance, which was also removed from the internet. Kinnes defends his creations, citing legendary hip-hop group Beastie Boys’ fan-shot 2006 concert film Awesome; I F*ckin’ Shot That!

Now the musician’s love for a good adrenaline rush is on full display in Netflix’s new series King Of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch.

The series follows Ken Goldin, the owner of Golden Auctions, a company focused on tracking down the rarest collectibles item, most of which are related to sports. That’s where Drake comes in. In one of the series’ episodes, Goldin hops onto to plane to Toronto to help the rap star get his hands on a rare item from his longtime friend LeBron James.

Goldin is looking for the LeBron James “Triple Logoman” card. The item contains the individual NBA logos for each team James won titles with. The catch is only one of those cards exists. So if the pair does get their hands on it, the card could be worth millions. While we won’t spoil the results of the episode, that scene is certainly worth a watch.

In an interview with the Philly Voice, Goldin ensures that their show isn’t glamorous, saying, “Everything in the show is an actual transaction. I think people will enjoy seeing how business gets done. Not everything is a success.”

Method Man‘s music has stood the test of time. Whether it be as a solo act or as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man has a catalog of songs that are universally loved.

Yesterday (April 28) at the New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival, Wu-Tang Clan performed an electrifying set that encapsulated several of their classics. During a performance of Wu-Tang Clan’s “Can It All Be So Simple,” Method was feeling the beat of the music and the energy from the audience. Also displaying vibrant energy was Method’s sign language interpreter, who was visibly getting into the song.

In a fan-captured video, Method quickly catches wind of the sign language interpreter and is visibly in awe of how quickly she signs to the beat.

This isn’t the first time an interpreter has gone viral for getting into the music during a live performance. Back in FebruaryRihanna’s sign language interpreter was the talk of the internet after she signed perfectly on beat to Rih’s music, while busting some dance moves.

And of course, we’ve all seen the viral video of Waka Flocka Flame grooving along with his interpreter (who appears to be the same woman at the Wu-Tang performance) after confusing her signing for dancing.

Though Cardi didn’t tag anyone in particular, she responded to a fan, who said that these people must’ve been “lonely asf at the lunch table.”

Cardi doubled down, saying, “it just be so cringe watching kids, grown woman/Men be on some nasty stank ish on the internet when you was getting your face smushed In the hallway …MIRRORING the exact same people you use to HATE!”

This series of tweets comes just a few days after Cardi voiced her support for a young woman who shared a video of herself taking selfies at a baseball game, while being mocked by fans in the rows behind her.

“I would of put that ring to use,” she said.

It’s clear that Cardi isn’t here for bullies of any kind.
